One Meralco Foundation’s MVP Academic Achievement Awards (MVP AAA) grants educational assistance to deserving sons and daughters of Meralco Group employees to support their education expenses for the current school year. Over 600 brilliant Meralco dependents have been recognized under this program since 2011.


One Meralco Foundation energizes 100th school through solar technology

September 30th, 2015

In 2011, One Meralco Foundation launched its School Electrification Program to bring electricity and technology to off-grid public schools located in remote island and mountain communities. Less the five years later, the program energized its 100th school, an elementary school in the boondocks of Porac, Pampanga, home to the Aeta indigenous community. To this day, the program continues to energize schools within and beyond the Meralco franchise area.


Introducing the “Salbabote”

One Meralco Foundation and Meralco, along with its partners Pepsi and Glad, recently launched an improvised flotation device called “Salba Bote” to help families along flood prone areas prepare for the coming of the typhoon season.


Energizing schools in the countryside

More than 7,000 remote public elementary and high schools in the Philippines do not have access to electricity to this day. Consequently, students in these schools are left behind especially in terms of science and technology.
