One Meralco Joins Gawad Kalinga Bayani Challenge 2015 in Dasmarinas, Cavite.

In support of Gawad Kalinga’s “Bayani Challenge,” One Meralco Foundation and Meralco’s Dasmarinas Business Center installed street lights at the GK SMDC Kabayanihan Village in Piela, Brgy. Sampaloc, Dasmarinas City, Cavite, to provide illumination during the three-day event held from June 5 to 7, 2015.

“Bayani Challenge” is an annual event to fuel and inspire the bayanihan spirit in at least 20,000 barangays across the country. With exciting activities like youth conferences, house builds, health missions, sports programs, and clean-up drives.

Twenty-five Meralco volunteers also helped construct new GK homes in response to the “challenge.”

Kids from ARMM fly to Manila for ‘Football for Peace’ Festival

Around 200 children mostly from provinces in the Autonomous Region for Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) flew to Manila over the weekend to participate in the annual Philippine Marine Corps (PMC) Football for Peace festival, a continuing advocacy to promote peace through sports especially to children in areas marred with armed conflicts.
